For this PHILLLLLTHY tee, I designed a piece inspired by the art of bonsai. The front keeps it minimal with a detailed hand-drawn bonsai illustration alongside the brand’s motto, Display With Purpose. On the back, I expanded the idea into an educational-style graphic, showcasing twelve different bonsai styles, each carefully illustrated to highlight the variety and beauty within the tradition.

This design merges streetwear with cultural storytelling — paying homage to an ancient Japanese practice while framing it through a modern, wearable canvas. It’s about patience, craft, and attention to detail, the same values that drive both bonsai cultivation and design.
